Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Egídio do Valle got the match started through his kick off. Sururu FC's Eliézer Ferraz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juarês Mineiro in the 3rd minute of play. If Juarês Mineiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 26thth minute of the game Juarês Mineiro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sururu FC's Eliézer Ferraz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Vasco da Gama's Alfredão Moreno got a free kick in the 27th minute. Eliézer Ferraz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Róbson Rosa in the 30th minute of the match. Egídio do Valle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cássio de Andrade having to interfere. Vasco da Gama's Cássio de Andrade proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save Vasco da Gama from getting a goal against them. In the 45thth minute of the game Róbson Rosa who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sururu FC's Eliézer Ferraz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Róbson Rosa was the one to do the kick off. The audience was convinced that Jorginho Terra's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cássio de Andrade was relentless in the 61st minute of the game. Sururu FC's Eliézer Ferraz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save Sururu FC from getting a goal against them. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ismael Negri during the 68th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 69th match minute, Vasco da Gama was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ismael Negri to maneuver through the defense. Róbson Rosa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Jorginho Terra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 89 minutes, Juarês Mineiro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vasco da Gama's supporters crossed their fingers, but Juarês Mineiro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Eliézer Ferraz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Róbson Rosa, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. Róbson Rosa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jorginho Terra in the 98th minute of play forced Vasco da Gama's goalkeeper Cássio de Andrade to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
