Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Ramón Amorim got the match started through his kick off. Dieguinho de Almeida might have been able to make a better finish in the 4th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Elano Tepedino. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dieguinho de Almeida ran back to his position shaking his head. Ramón Amorim who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 5thth minute tested the skills of Elano Tepedino when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 8 minutes into the match, Quatiguaba's goal looked a bit too open when Bebeto Pernambucano came free, but Carlos Fernando Macedo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, Gernando Cunha managed to get in a good position for a shot. Quatiguaba's supporters rose to their feet, but Gernando Cunha was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Elano Tepedino breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Carlos Fernando Macedo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Naldo Mattos in the 12th minute of the match. The supporters of Quatiguaba booed when Gorino was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Renan Saraiva didn't get a good kick on the ball. Elano Tepedino made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dieguinho de Almeida in the 17th minute. A collision led to Gorino getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. In the 21st minute of the match, Dieguinho de Almeida got a very nice opportunity to score, but Elano Tepedino was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Dieguinho de Almeida could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Elano Tepedino made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Quatiguaba's Carlos Fernando Araújo got a free kick in the 30th minute. Carlos Fernando Macedo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Naldo Mattos in the 33rd minute of the match. Elano Tepedino made a fantastic save in the 36th minute, when Dieguinho de Almeida sent off a good shot on target. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Dieguinho de Almeida managed to get in a good position for a shot. In the 52nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Gorino's goalkeeper Elano Tepedino, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 53 minutes, Dieguinho de Almeida made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Gorino's Elano Tepedino tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ramón Amorim in the 57th minute of play forced Gorino's goalkeeper Elano Tepedino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Bebeto Pernambucano came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Gorino fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bebeto Pernambucano couldn't finish the play. Gernando Cunha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elano Tepedino having to interfere. Luisão Matos kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Carlos Fernando Macedo was a little too slow when Naldo Mattos got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 63rd minute. The score was now 1-1. In the 67th minute, Gernando Cunha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Carlos Fernando Macedo was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 68th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Vítor Neves. After 70 minutes, Thiago Mangueira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Quatiguaba and the Gorino players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee gave Gorino a penalty, 71 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Vítor Neves, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Quatiguaba's Carlos Fernando Macedo. 1-2. If Kiko Mendonça had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Elano Tepedino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dieguinho de Almeida, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Gernando Cunha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elano Tepedino having to interfere. Gorino's Elano Tepedino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ramón Amorim in the 84th minute of play. If Ramón Amorim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 89 minutes into the match, Dieguinho de Almeida had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Elano Tepedino. Gorino's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dieguinho de Almeida was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. The crowd rose to their feet as Gorino's Bebeto Pernambucano slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Carlos Fernando Macedo. That made the score 2-3 after 93 minutes of play. When the final whistle went the supporters of Gorino were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Quatiguaba side.
