In the 4th match minute, Dragões-PE was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Faustão Barbosa to maneuver through the defense. Fernão Queirós fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gernando Paraíba having to interfere. When Flávio Pimenta fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vieira SS's protests and gave Flávio Pimenta a yellow card for diving instead. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 13th minute of the game. One of Vieira SS:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Dragões-PE:s goal. Jairo Hermes shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Kauan de Queiroz's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Gernando Paraíba firmly grabbed it by the left post. When Flávio Pimenta was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 21 minutes had been played. 21 minutes into the game, one of Vieira SS:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 23rd minute there was a penalty for Dragões-PE. Jairo Hermes stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Marcel da Cunha. 0-1. Vânderson Vargas hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Belmiro Lopes took the ball and in the 30 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marcel da Cunha. Rafa Lopez helped the player get up and apologised. Rafa Lopez kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Vieira SS's Rubinho Melo got a free kick in the 45th minute. Beto Neto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Belmiro Lopes to make the kick off. Marcel da Cunha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Belmiro Lopes in the 57th minute of play. Belmiro Lopes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Vieira SS booed when Dragões-PE was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paulo José Botelho didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 67th minute of the match Alexandre Duarte sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gernando Paraíba skillfully saved the ball. 70 minutes into the match, Kauan de Queiroz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gernando Paraíba. Dragões-PE's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kauan de Queiroz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Fernão Queirós hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. After having played for 78 minutes, Kauan de Queiroz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vieira SS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kauan de Queiroz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Beto Neto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 91st minute, one of Vieira SS:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Vieira SS. In the 98th minute, Beto Neto ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marcel da Cunha was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-5. The Dragões-PE players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
