Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Márcio Cordeiro kicked off to start the match. Rômulo do Nascimento came out of the goal in the 5th minute to try and stop a shot by Taipoca's Cacá Pirani. But to his dismay, Cacá Pirani quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Márcio Cordeiro in the 8th minute of play forced Taipoca's goalkeeper Alexandre Sampaio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 15 minutes into the match, Taipoca's goalkeeper Alexandre Sampaio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Augusto Prestes. Gugu Rodrigues fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rômulo do Nascimento having to interfere. Taipoca's Cacá Pirani got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gugu Rodrigues in the 27th minute of play forced Timão fc's goalkeeper Rômulo do Nascimento to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rômulo do Nascimento showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cacá Pirani in the 28th minute of the match. Cacá Pirani fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rômulo do Nascimento having to interfere. Augusto Prestes hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. In the 46th minute, Cacá Pirani got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gugu Rodrigues sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half Taipoca were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cacá Pirani made a kick off. With his leg Rômulo do Nascimento managed to avoid a goal in the 54thth minute, when Taipoca's Gugu Rodrigues fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. When Luisinho Seco fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Timão fc's protests and gave Luisinho Seco a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Timão fc getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Luisinho Seco hit a great ball. In the 66th minute Márcio Cordeiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alexandre Sampaio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 66 minutes into the game, Márcio Cordeiro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Alexandre Sampaio was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 69th minute the ball was on its way in behind Timão fc's goalkeeper Rômulo do Nascimento, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 69 minutes, Laerte Arósio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Timão fc and the Taipoca players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 69th match minute, Timão fc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Laerte Arósio to maneuver through the defense. In the 73rd minute, Cacá Pirani fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cacá Pirani in the 79th minute of play forced Timão fc's goalkeeper Rômulo do Nascimento to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 83 minutes into the game, Enio Dante threw the ball into play from the sideline. Taipoca's Tomé Oliveira quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomé Oliveira in the 84th minute of play forced Timão fc's goalkeeper Rômulo do Nascimento to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 89th minute Cacá Pirani shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rômulo do Nascimento saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Timão fc fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Taipoca were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
