Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Zé Paulo Queiroz started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. 3 minutes in the game, Zé Paulo Queiroz fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Waldir Dias having to interfere. Luisão Vinhas charged in rather forcefully in the 4th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Luisão Vinhas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Poti AD were awarded a corner in the 7th minute after Soberanos FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Cristóvão Correia took the corner. Poti AD's Cristóvão Correia was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Waldir Dias in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Waldir Dias took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zé Paulo Queiroz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Soberanos FC's Waldir Dias proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save Soberanos FC from getting a goal against them. After 19 played minutes Soberanos FC got a freekick which was hit by Dé Pombal. Régis Corrêa hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. After 23 played minutes, Soberanos FC's César Travassos shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Luís Fernando Gaspar came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Soberanos FC reached it. When Régis Corrêa fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Poti AD's protests and gave Régis Corrêa a yellow card for diving instead. Régis Corrêa kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. In the 25th minute Zé Roberto Ceresso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luís Fernando Gaspar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zé Roberto Ceresso took the ball and in the 25 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Luís Fernando Gaspar. Luís Fernando Gaspar dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Soberanos FC's Waldir Dias played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bernardo Dias in the 27th minute of play. Bernardo Dias recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 32nd play minute Bernardo Dias came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Waldir Dias. 1-1. When Bernardo Dias came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Poti AD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bernardo Dias couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zé Roberto Ceresso in the 38th minute of play forced Poti AD's goalkeeper Luís Fernando Gaspar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Poti AD's Bernardo Dias got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Zé Paulo Queiroz in the 42nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Waldir Dias prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Leopoldo de Queirós charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Leopoldo de Queirós the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Soberanos FC's Leopoldo de Queirós got a free kick in the 43rd minute. If Valdir Nóbrega had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Zé Roberto Ceresso was the one to do the kick off. A collision led to Poti AD getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Régis Corrêa hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Poti AD's Kauan Proença got a free kick in the 54th minute. A collision led to Soberanos FC getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Aníbal Negri hit a great ball. Luís Fernando Gaspar stood somewhat misplaced when Valdir Nóbrega came free in front of goal and shot 1-2 to the left of him in the 58 minute. Luís Fernando Gaspar made an important save on a dangerous shot by Valdir Nóbrega in the 62nd minute. Luís Fernando Gaspar made a fantastic save in the 66th minute, when Valdir Nóbrega sent off a good shot on target. After some careless play in the Soberanos FC defense, Zé Paulo Queiroz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Waldir Dias. The Soberanos FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Waldir Dias should have stopped the shot. When Zé Roberto Ceresso came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Soberanos FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zé Roberto Ceresso couldn't finish the play. 77 minutes into the game, Aníbal Negri was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Soberanos FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Poti AD the free kick. A collision led to Soberanos FC getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Aníbal Negri hit a great ball. When Aníbal Negri was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 79 minutes had been played. Aníbal Negri hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. Luís Fernando Gaspar made a fantastic save in the 83rd minute, when Leopoldo de Queirós sent off a good shot on target. Poti AD's Bernardo Dias got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 89 minutes into the match, Poti AD's Bernardo Dias sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Waldir Dias narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Waldir Dias made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernardo Dias in the 90th minute of play. In the 92nd minute, Bernardo Dias made a precise shot to the right of Waldir Dias. Soberanos FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-2. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Poti AD had won after a very even match.
