Váldson Peixoto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zé Paulo Vale, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Joélson Pontes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chicão Coelho in the 12th minute of play. Maracaçumé AC's Joélson Pontes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fernando Oliveira in the 20th minute of play. Joélson Pontes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paulinho do Valle, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Aníbal Meirelles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 33rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Inhussu's goalkeeper Váldson Peixoto, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Zé Paulo Vale received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Váldson Peixoto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Joélson Pontes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Chicão Coelho, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zé Paulo Vale in the 39th minute of play forced Inhussu's goalkeeper Váldson Peixoto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Váldson Peixoto made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Aníbal Meirelles sent off a good shot on target.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gernando Galvão was the one to do the kick off. If Paulinho do Valle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 54thth minute of the game Aníbal Meirelles who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Inhussu's Váldson Peixoto was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jean Pimenta's late challenge caught a Inhussu's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jean Pimenta helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Maracaçumé AC getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Jean Pimenta hit a great ball. When Aníbal Meirelles came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Maracaçumé AC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aníbal Meirelles couldn't finish the play. Joélson Pontes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fernando Oliveira in the 62nd minute. Aníbal Meirelles recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 71st play minute Fernando Oliveira came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Joélson Pontes. 0-1. In the 83rd minute, Aníbal Meirelles ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Váldson Peixoto was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. A collision led to Inhussu getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Paulinho do Valle hit a great ball. Aníbal Meirelles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ronaldinho do Vale during the 93rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Ronaldinho do Vale hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
