An unexpectedly hard shot by Aníbal Meirelles in the 18th minute of play forced Arapira FC's goalkeeper Hernando Leon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Joélson Pontes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Håkan Jakobsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Joélson Pontes was left in no man's land by his defense there! 44 minutes into the match, Arapira FC's goal looked a bit too open when Aníbal Meirelles came free, but Hernando Leon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hernando Leon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aníbal Meirelles in the 48th minute of the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Aníbal Meirelles stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Maracaçumé AC booed when Arapira FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nilton Martins didn't get a good kick on the ball. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Arapira FC booed when Maracaçumé AC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ronaldinho do Vale didn't get a good kick on the ball. Håkan Jakobsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joélson Pontes having to interfere. Arapira FC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
