Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Egídio Tavares started the match with the kick off. In the 4th minute, Egídio Tavares ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ulisses Palmeira was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. 9 minutes into the match, Flamengo's goal looked a bit too open when Fernando Cerezo came free, but Ulisses Palmeira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 10 minutes, Egídio Tavares managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jarinu's supporters crossed their fingers, but Egídio Tavares was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ulisses Palmeira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fernando Cerezo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Flamengo's Ulisses Palmeira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Egídio Tavares in the 12th minute of play. In the 14thth minute of the game Egídio Tavares who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Flamengo's Ulisses Palmeira was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Egídio Tavares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 35 played minutes Flamengo got a freekick which was hit by Ian Pontes. An unexpectedly hard shot by Egídio Tavares in the 36th minute of play forced Flamengo's goalkeeper Ulisses Palmeira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 38th minute, Egídio Tavares got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Benedito Pires fell near the penalty area in the 48th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Flamengo's protests and gave Benedito Pires a yellow card for diving instead. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Benedito Pires was the one to do the kick off. When Fernando Cerezo came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Jarinu fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fernando Cerezo couldn't finish the play. If Fernando Cerezo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Egídio Tavares fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Jarinu's protests and gave Egídio Tavares a yellow card for diving instead. In the 65th minute, Egídio Tavares hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Fernando Cerezo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Jarinu's supporters rose to their feet, but Fernando Cerezo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ulisses Palmeira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Fernando Cerezo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 74th minute of the match, but Ulisses Palmeira made a huge save. 76 minutes into the match, Flamengo's goalkeeper Ulisses Palmeira had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fernando Cerezo. Egídio Tavares kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. 81 minutes into the game, Charles Lima was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Flamengo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Jarinu the free kick. 81 minutes into the game, one of Flamengo:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 85th match minute, Jarinu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fernando Cerezo to maneuver through the defense. Fernando Cerezo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Fernando Cerezo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tiago Gabriel Batista hit a great freekick 101 minutes into the match. Jarinu's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
