Hamílton Carneiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 7th minute Elder Félix shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hamílton Carneiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Erki Allik took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from João Pedro Vidal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Santa Luzia FC's Adriana Lluis got a free kick in the 10th minute. In the 11th minute, Norberto Quirino made a precise shot to the right of Erki Allik. Santa Luzia FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. In the 14th match minute, Santa Luzia FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nando Cordeiro to maneuver through the defense. 17 minutes into the game, Vágner Gerber was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Botuvera AD's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Santa Luzia FC the free kick. The supporters of Santa Luzia FC booed when Botuvera AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vágner Gerber didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elder Félix in the 19th minute of play forced Botuvera AD's goalkeeper Hamílton Carneiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 24 minutes into the match, Santa Luzia FC's Geovânio Santana sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hamílton Carneiro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 25th minute of the match Hernani Paraíba sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hamílton Carneiro skillfully saved the ball. In the 31st minute, Elder Félix got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Hamílton Carneiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elder Félix, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. 35 minutes into the game, Manfredo Marinho was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Botuvera AD's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Santa Luzia FC the free kick. After 35 played minutes Botuvera AD got a freekick which was hit by Manfredo Marinho. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Elder Félix in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hamílton Carneiro saved Botuvera AD from getting behind. In the 44th match minute, Botuvera AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vágner Gerber to maneuver through the defense. Botuvera AD's Hamílton Carneiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elder Félix in the 46th minute of play. Hamílton Carneiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elder Félix in the 47th minute of the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Elder Félix made the kick off in the second half. When the match clock showed 51 minutes, the score became 2-1 when Elder Félix sped through Botuvera AD's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Hamílton Carneiro. 55 minutes into the game, Santa Luzia FC's Geovânio Santana nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Hamílton Carneiro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. Geovânio Santana struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Hamílton Carneiro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Santa Luzia FC. The audience was convinced that Elder Félix's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hamílton Carneiro was relentless in the 64th minute of the game. The Santa Luzia FC fans' excitement grew in the 65th match minute when Santa Luzia FC's Elder Félix looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Rômulo Alagoano took the ball and in the 70 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hamílton Carneiro. Hamílton Carneiro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-1. 73 minutes into the match, Rômulo Alagoano had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Hamílton Carneiro. Botuvera AD's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rômulo Alagoano was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-1. Rômulo Alagoano kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Norberto Quirino struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Erki Allik didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Botuvera AD. Norberto Quirino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 81stth minute of the game Elder Félix who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Botuvera AD's Hamílton Carneiro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Hamílton Carneiro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Geovânio Santana's shot from short distance in the 83rd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Elder Félix in the 84th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hamílton Carneiro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Botuvera AD's Hamílton Carneiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elder Félix in the 93rd minute of play. There was no doubt that Santa Luzia FC were the better team. Santa Luzia FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
