Hermínio Mandrak made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rui Marques in the 5th minute of play. In the 10th minute of the match Michel Gonçalves sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hermínio Mandrak skillfully saved the ball. Wilton Camargo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Hermínio Mandrak tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Humberto Cerezo might have been able to make a better finish in the 16th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Luiz Fabiano Neves. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Humberto Cerezo ran back to his position shaking his head. If Zé Paulo Soares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 20th minute the ball was on its way in behind Tricolor FC's goalkeeper Luiz Fabiano Neves, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Salqueiro SC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Leopoldo Porto in the 42nd minute. After taking down the ball on Salqueiro SC's corner Leopoldo Porto fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Luiz Fabiano Neves quite easily take care of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Wilton Camargo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tricolor FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Wilton Camargo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hermínio Mandrak breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 48th minute the ball was on its way in behind Salqueiro SC's goalkeeper Hermínio Mandrak, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rui Marques to strike the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Wilton Camargo got free with Hermínio Mandrak in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Zé Paulo Soares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zé Paulo Soares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luiz Fabiano Neves having to interfere. In the 66thth minute of the game Humberto Cerezo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tricolor FC's Luiz Fabiano Neves was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Luiz Fabiano Neves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Agenor Batista, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Wilton Camargo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rui Marques in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hermínio Mandrak prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Zé Paulo Soares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Luiz Fabiano Neves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luiz Fabiano Neves stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Zé Paulo Soares's shot from short distance in the 87th minute. After 90 minutes of play, Salqueiro SC's Humberto Cerezo made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Luiz Fabiano Neves was left in no man's land by his defense there! Salqueiro SC's Hermínio Mandrak proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 96th minute of the match, managed to save Salqueiro SC from getting a goal against them. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
