Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Jano Baptista started the match with the kick off. In the 2nd match minute, Escura was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elias Coelho to maneuver through the defense. Christiano Lima might have been able to make a better finish in the 4th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Álvaro Vergílio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Christiano Lima ran back to his position shaking his head. When Tormenta EC's Fred Bittencourt in the 8th minute got a chance for a shot 8th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Escura's goalie prevented a goal. Aníbal Paraíba charged in rather forcefully in the 8th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Aníbal Paraíba the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The audience was convinced that Elias Coelho's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Luiz Guilherme Magalhães was relentless in the 23rd minute of the game. Tormenta EC's Nelsinho Tande pulled a muscle in his leg after 35 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Tormenta EC made a substitution. Arí Coelho replaced Nelsinho Tande. Dionísio Cunha hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. Álvaro Vergílio was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Carlos Fernando Paraibano. Álvaro Vergílio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fred Bittencourt in the 40th minute of the match. Fred Bittencourt might have been able to make a better finish in the 44th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Álvaro Vergílio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Fred Bittencourt ran back to his position shaking his head. Álvaro Vergílio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fred Bittencourt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 46thth minute of the game Fred Bittencourt who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Escura's Álvaro Vergílio was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Christiano Lima stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Tormenta EC's zone, Jano Baptista stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luiz Guilherme Magalhães came out of the goal and Jano Baptista tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Álvaro Vergílio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fred Bittencourt in the 54th minute of the match. In the 57th minute of the match Diamantino Abreu sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Álvaro Vergílio skillfully saved the ball. 64 minutes into the match, Escura's goal looked a bit too open when Fred Bittencourt came free, but Álvaro Vergílio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Elias Coelho came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Escura fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Elias Coelho couldn't finish the play. Escura's Elias Coelho came free and shot a quick shot against goal 67 minutes in the game, fortunately Luiz Guilherme Magalhães had problems saving as it came toward the left post. In the 70th minute, Jano Baptista left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Escura fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. If Jano Baptista had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Escura's Álvaro Vergílio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fred Bittencourt in the 75th minute of play. In the 80th minute, Elias Coelho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tormenta EC's Christiano Lima got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 86 minutes, Christiano Lima made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Escura's Álvaro Vergílio tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Jano Baptista sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fred Bittencourt in the 91st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Álvaro Vergílio saved Escura from getting behind. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Christiano Lima in the 92nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Álvaro Vergílio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Christiano Lima in the 93rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Álvaro Vergílio saved Escura from getting behind. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
