Rui Recife showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edgard Barros in the 15th minute of the match. Rui Recife made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ronaldinho Guedes in the 18th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Benedito da Fonseca during the 19th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 19th minute, Benedito da Fonseca hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Ronaldinho Guedes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Benedito da Fonseca got his second yellow card in the match during the 27th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After 27 played minutes Grajau SC got a freekick which was hit by Benedito da Fonseca. Humberto Proença could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Tales Ramalho made a huge save. In the 30th minute the ball was on its way in behind Grajau SC's goalkeeper Tales Ramalho, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Humberto Proença fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tales Ramalho having to interfere. In the 34th minute, Grajau SC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Ian Brito fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Papary SS's Rui Recife played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Caetano Lopes in the 39th minute of play. With his leg Tales Ramalho managed to avoid a goal in the 41stth minute, when Papary SS's Humberto Proença fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. With an all-out effort, Papary SS's Tales Ramalho threw himself towards the right post 44 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Ian Brito, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. When Humberto Proença came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Papary SS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Humberto Proença couldn't finish the play. Ian Brito received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Tales Ramalho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

A nice corner shot did that Cícero Varela got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Tales Ramalho quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Grajau SC's Tales Ramalho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ian Brito in the 57th minute of play. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Grajau SC booed when Papary SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tomé Araújo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Papary SS's Rui Recife proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to save Papary SS from getting a goal against them. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Ian Brito managed to get in a good position for a shot. Papary SS's supporters rose to their feet, but Ian Brito was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tales Ramalho breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ronaldinho Guedes hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match.
