Tião Custódio kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. Edmundo Guerra took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Raimundo Alves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 7th minute, Júnior Marquez sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Caioca SS's Edmundo Guerra didn't even have to move. After 8 played minutes Caioca SS got a freekick which was hit by Eugênio Matos. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ernesto Miranda got free with Edmundo Guerra in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 1-0 became the score in the 13th minute when Ernesto Miranda elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 16th minute, Iuri Campidelis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 18th minute, Tony Sena got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Through an outstanding action, after 28 minutes, Edmundo Guerra successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 37 minutes into the match, Araruva SC's goal looked a bit too open when Jeferson Zanette came free, but Kauã Catarinense reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eugênio Matos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Kauã Catarinense tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 40 minutes, Eugênio Matos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Caioca SS and the Araruva SC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 40th minute, Eugênio Matos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 43 minutes into the game, Araruva SC's Ernesto Miranda nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Edmundo Guerra made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jeferson Zanette to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Tony Sena got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tony Sena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 57th minute, Adriano Freire got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Eugênio Matos struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Kauã Catarinense didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Caioca SS. Ernesto Miranda might have been able to make a better finish in the 60th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Edmundo Guerra. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ernesto Miranda ran back to his position shaking his head. Eugênio Matos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 65 played minutes Caioca SS got a freekick which was hit by Daniel Vinhas. 66 minutes into the match, Caioca SS's goal looked a bit too open when Júnior Marquez came free, but Edmundo Guerra reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Ernesto Miranda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eugênio Matos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Kauã Catarinense tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Tony Sena came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Araruva SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tony Sena couldn't finish the play. Júnior Marquez took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 80th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Edmundo Guerra. Caioca SS's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 88th minute the ball was on its way in behind Araruva SC's goalkeeper Kauã Catarinense, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Eugênio Matos struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Kauã Catarinense didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Caioca SS. The Araruva SC players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
