Real Matismo FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jorginho de Azevedo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. A collision led to Indaiatuba SC getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Mazinho Valladares hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Real Matismo FC's Cristiano Simão got a free kick in the 19th minute. The long shot by Celsinho Castro in the 20th minute really tested Umberto Prata's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. When Jorginho de Azevedo came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Indaiatuba SC fans jumped to their feet. If Erasmo Paraibano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alexsandro Favoretto during the 56th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
