Germano Machado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Romário Vinhas in the 14th minute of the match. Agostinho Moura fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cléber de Toledo having to interfere. Germano Machado was out of position in the 18 minute of play, and Romário Vinhas capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Romário Vinhas really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. In the 21st match minute, Damianopolis AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tiago Gabriel Dantas to maneuver through the defense. Dorival Ferreira struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Cléber de Toledo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rua de Cima FC. 25 minutes into the match, Dorival Ferreira had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cléber de Toledo. Damianopolis AD's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dorival Ferreira was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. 30 minutes into the match, Damianopolis AD's goal looked a bit too open when Kaká Lopez came free, but Cléber de Toledo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Rua de Cima FC booed when Damianopolis AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Romário Vinhas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cléber de Toledo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frank Alves, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. After 46 played minutes Rua de Cima FC got a freekick which was hit by Frank Alves. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Kaká Lopez to make the kick off. The audience was convinced that Frank Alves's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cléber de Toledo was relentless in the 52nd minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in Damianopolis AD's zone, Frank Alves stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cléber de Toledo came out of the goal and Frank Alves tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 60th minute, Frank Alves fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Cléber de Toledo, passed just outside the right post. Germano Machado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paulinho Viana, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. In the 62nd match minute, Rua de Cima FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dorival Ferreira to maneuver through the defense. Jonathan Brasil might have been able to make a better finish in the 63rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Germano Machado. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jonathan Brasil ran back to his position shaking his head. A collision led to Rua de Cima FC getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Válter Nunes hit a great ball. Rua de Cima FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kaká Lopez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 77 minutes into the match, Rua de Cima FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jonathan Brasil came free, but Germano Machado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Germano Machado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulinho Viana in the 80th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Rua de Cima FC's Frank Alves slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Cléber de Toledo. That made the score 1-3 after 81 minutes of play. In the 85th minute, Kaká Lopez left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Rua de Cima FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-4. With a little luck, Damianopolis AD's Cléber de Toledo got control of the ball when Frank Alves tried to sneak it across the goal line. Rua de Cima FC played a much better game than Damianopolis AD and deserved their victory. The Damianopolis AD players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
