José Pedro Lopez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Luisinho Donatello tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of F.C Santos booed when Guilhermino AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Raphael Rezende didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Elano Meireles during the 37th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Guilhermino AD's Edinho Duarte played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isaltino de Medeiros in the 39th minute of play. Isaltino de Medeiros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Luisinho Donatello showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wanderson Martins, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Edinho Duarte was out of position in the 76 minute of play, and Agostinho de Toledo capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Agostinho de Toledo really showed his touch with that goal: 1-3. When the match had gone on for 83 minutes, Isaltino de Medeiros took a quick shot and it went in 1-4 without a chance for Edinho Duarte to make any attempt to save it. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Wanderson Martins managed to get in a good position for a shot. Guilhermino AD's supporters rose to their feet, but Wanderson Martins was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luisinho Donatello breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. José Pedro Lopez scored 2-4 in the 88th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Luisinho Donatello, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
