Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Sydney Botelho took the kick off in the first half of the match. Ronaldo Schmidt's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Guto Motta read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 8th minute of play. Anísio Veiga made an important save on a dangerous shot by Acácio de Lara in the 9th minute. Guto Motta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ronaldo Schmidt in the 13th minute of play. If Acácio de Lara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Anísio Veiga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sydney Botelho in the 19th minute of play. Anísio Veiga was out of position in the 22 minute of play, and Acácio de Lara capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Acácio de Lara really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. C.A. XII de Junho's Guto Motta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edson Freire in the 26th minute of play. 27 minutes into the match, C.A. XII de Junho's goal looked a bit too open when Ronaldo Schmidt came free, but Guto Motta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 31st minute Sydney Botelho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anísio Veiga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Ronaldo Schmidt's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Guto Motta was relentless in the 32nd minute of the game. Edson Freire recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Guto Motta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ronaldo Schmidt in the 34th minute of play. Simão Capixaba kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. In the 36th minute, Ronaldo Schmidt got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Anísio Veiga was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Sydney Botelho showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 41 minute of play. If Edson Freire had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Simão Capixaba kicked well hit freekick during the 48th minute of the match. 51 minutes had been played when some careless play by C.A. XII de Junho's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Gilberto Barbosa was slow to take the kick. During this time Pinheiral's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Pinheiral's corner Gilberto Barbosa fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Guto Motta quite easily take care of the ball.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ronaldo Schmidt was the one to do the kick off. Telmo Magalhães scored 3-0 in the 55th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Anísio Veiga, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ronaldo Schmidt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Waldir Tavares hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. In the 66th minute, Edson Freire left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Pinheiral fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. Anísio Veiga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sydney Botelho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Pinheiral's zone, Acácio de Lara stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anísio Veiga came out of the goal and Acácio de Lara tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sydney Botelho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ronaldo Schmidt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Guto Motta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Acácio de Lara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 87 minutes into the match, Pinheiral's goal looked a bit too open when Sydney Botelho came free, but Anísio Veiga reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 88 played minutes C.A. XII de Junho got a freekick which was hit by Dé Palmeira. In the 89th minute the ball was on its way in behind C.A. XII de Junho's goalkeeper Guto Motta, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 91 minutes into the match, C.A. XII de Junho's goalkeeper Guto Motta had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Edson Freire. Pinheiral's Edson Freire got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ronaldo Schmidt might have been able to make a better finish in the 96th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Guto Motta. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ronaldo Schmidt ran back to his position shaking his head. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The C.A. XII de Junho fans cheered their team off the field, for while Pinheiral had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
