Sabino Ferreira charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sabino Ferreira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 26th match minute, Aturiai SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sabino Ferreira to maneuver through the defense. The goalkeeper, Richard Viana, was totally fooled by Aturiai SS's Carlos Fernando Pontes, who 39 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Aturiai SS's Leonel Ortiz got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, Não Tem Como F.C.'s Richard Viana got control of the ball when Leonel Ortiz tried to sneak it across the goal line. Simão Linhares recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 48th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Norberto Garcia stepped up to make the kick off in the second half.
