Taberoe EC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Osvaldo Leal was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Renan Simão showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Osvaldo Leal, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felippe Dantas in the 12th minute of play forced Taberoe EC's goalkeeper Renan Simão to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Renan Simão came out of the goal in the 22nd minute to try and stop a shot by Balancas SC's Felippe Dantas. But to his dismay, Felippe Dantas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Didi Saldanha managed to get in a good position for a shot. Taberoe EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Didi Saldanha was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Danilo Silveira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 31 minutes into the match, Taberoe EC's goal looked a bit too open when Felippe Dantas came free, but Renan Simão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Renan Simão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Osvaldo Leal in the 35th minute of play. Renan Simão showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felippe Dantas, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Felippe Dantas in the 42nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Renan Simão saved Taberoe EC from getting behind. If Felippe Dantas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jânio Hermes hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Celso Neto made the kick off in the second half. Renan Simão showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felippe Dantas in the 52nd minute of the match. When Taberoe EC's Didi Saldanha in the 62nd minute got a chance for a shot 62nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Balancas SC's goalie prevented a goal. The audience was convinced that Didi Saldanha's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Danilo Silveira was relentless in the 65th minute of the game. The supporters of Balancas SC booed when Taberoe EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Didi Saldanha didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 71st minute, Felippe Dantas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 72nd minute, Sebastião Toscano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Balancas SC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by José Tavares in the 74th minute. Osvaldo Leal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Renan Simão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Taberoe EC's Luiz Lucas got a free kick in the 77th minute. In the 78th minute, Felippe Dantas reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Renan Simão. The goal made the score 1-3. A collision led to Balancas SC getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Kléber Sergipano hit a great ball. After 84 minutes of play, Balancas SC's Osvaldo Leal made it 1-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Renan Simão was left in no man's land by his defense there! Osvaldo Leal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Renan Simão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Renan Simão made a fantastic save in the 96th minute, when Felippe Dantas sent off a good shot on target. Luiz Lucas kicked well hit freekick during the 98th minute of the match. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Balancas SC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
