The tension between the Quixobeira FC and the Voturantim players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 11th minute of the game. One of Quixobeira FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Voturantim:s goal. The goalkeeper, Paulinho Torres, was totally fooled by Voturantim's Matías da Silva, who 13 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. If Gilmar Moura had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 24 minutes into the match, Voturantim's goal looked a bit too open when Cícero Simões came free, but Tiago de Godoy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Ricardinho Campidelis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a rather tough play, Quixobeira FC's Duarte Linhares got a free kick in the 31st minute. Gilmar Moura hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Cícero Simões managed to get in a good position for a shot. Quixobeira FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Cícero Simões was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tiago de Godoy breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Ricardinho Campidelis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Duarte Linhares kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gilmar Moura to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Cícero Simões ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tiago de Godoy was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Ricardinho Campidelis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulinho Torres having to interfere. When Fabiano Freire came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Voturantim fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fabiano Freire couldn't finish the play. 69 minutes into the match, Gilmar Moura dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Tiago de Godoy, 1-3. Ricardinho Campidelis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Paulinho Torres took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ricardinho Campidelis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gilmar Moura sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cícero Simões recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cícero Simões could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 88th minute of the match, but Tiago de Godoy made a huge save. Tiago de Godoy made a fantastic save in the 91st minute, when Cícero Simões sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gilmar Moura in the 92nd minute of play forced Voturantim's goalkeeper Tiago de Godoy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cícero Simões could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Tiago de Godoy made a huge save. Sebastião Rezende kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gilmar Moura in the 96th minute of play forced Voturantim's goalkeeper Tiago de Godoy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cícero Simões struck a weak shot in the 97th minute. Tiago de Godoy didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Quixobeira FC. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Quixobeira FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
