Anderson Rezende might have been able to make a better finish in the 11th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Edgard Velloso. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Anderson Rezende ran back to his position shaking his head. Anderson Rezende fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgard Velloso having to interfere. In the 16th match minute, Miragaia AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gualter Alagoano to maneuver through the defense. Anderson Rezende might have been able to make a better finish in the 21st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Edgard Velloso. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Anderson Rezende ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cássio Bittencourt in the 24th minute of play forced Miragaia AD's goalkeeper Edgard Velloso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 25 played minutes Miragaia AD got a freekick which was hit by Zézinho Falcão. If Lenílson Duarte had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 37th match minute, Vestea was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raphael Pirani to maneuver through the defense. Diamantino Machado was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Bernardinho Cardoso. Zézinho Falcão's late challenge caught a Vestea's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Zézinho Falcão helped the player get up and apologised. After 41 played minutes Miragaia AD got a freekick which was hit by Zézinho Falcão. In the 45th minute, Gualter Alagoano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cássio Bittencourt in the 47th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Edgard Velloso saved Miragaia AD from getting behind. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Diamantino Machado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wilton Souza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Vestea booed when Miragaia AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yan Palmeira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Silvério Miranda kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. In the 66th minute, Miragaia AD's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Cássio Bittencourt fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Anderson Rezende fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgard Velloso having to interfere. Edgard Velloso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anderson Rezende in the 87th minute of the match. After having played for 92 minutes, Anderson Rezende managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vestea's supporters crossed their fingers, but Anderson Rezende was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 98th minute, Lenílson Duarte managed to get in a good position for a shot. Miragaia AD's supporters rose to their feet, but Lenílson Duarte was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Diamantino Machado breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
