After 7 played minutes Aguiar got a freekick which was hit by Denílson Passos. Escravado EC's Cléber Barreto shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 8th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Ernani Gaúcho but with some difficulty. Ernani Gaúcho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from João Pontes, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. 11 minutes into the match, Aguiar's Matheus Neves sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Elivélton Soeiro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 13th match minute, Escravado EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Moisés de Toledo to maneuver through the defense. Jacinto de Queiroz struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Elivélton Soeiro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Aguiar. Dorian Oliveira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ernani Gaúcho having to interfere. 23 minutes into the game, Pedro Carneiro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Aguiar's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Escravado EC the free kick. Ernani Gaúcho didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 25th minute, which inside left pole to 1-0. João Pontes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Ernani Gaúcho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. João Pontes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Escravado EC's Dorian Oliveira pulled a muscle in his back after 29 minutes and couldn't finish the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ramón Cabral during the 30th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Elivélton Soeiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jacinto de Queiroz in the 33rd minute of play. Escravado EC's Moisés de Toledo got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

An unexpectedly hard shot by João Pontes in the 52nd minute of play forced Aguiar's goalkeeper Ernani Gaúcho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Moisés de Toledo was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 57 minutes had been played. After a rather tough play, Escravado EC's Moisés de Toledo got a free kick in the 58th minute. Elivélton Soeiro came out of the goal in the 59th minute to try and stop a shot by Aguiar's Jacinto de Queiroz. But to his dismay, Jacinto de Queiroz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Jacinto de Queiroz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elivélton Soeiro having to interfere. Aguiar's Ernani Gaúcho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Patrick Arce in the 70th minute of play. If Jacinto de Queiroz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Escravado EC's Elivélton Soeiro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 77th minute of the match, managed to save Escravado EC from getting a goal against them. If Patrick Arce had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. A collision led to Aguiar getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Charles Fontes hit a great ball. Elivélton Soeiro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jacinto de Queiroz in the 91st minute. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Escravado EC players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
