In the 5th minute Dino Torres shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ernani Gaúcho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The goalkeeper, Sidnei Batista, was totally fooled by Aguiar's Doriva Leme, who 13 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dino Torres struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Ernani Gaúcho didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Zrinjski Mostar. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Matheus Neves was the one to do the kick off. Aguiar's defense didn't have a chance, in the 57th minute, when Víktor Tepedino scored to the left of an out of position Ernani Gaúcho, making the score, 2-1. If Mazinho Tróia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dino Torres fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ernani Gaúcho having to interfere. Zrinjski Mostar's Víktor Tepedino got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mazinho Tróia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Zrinjski Mostar's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Aguiar had won, even though Zrinjski Mostar had held more of the ball.
