The supporters of Itapinimba EC booed when Cacimbinha EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joel Urbano didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Luís Gustavo Moura's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Percy Nóbrega was relentless in the 6th minute of the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Luís Gustavo Moura managed to get in a good position for a shot. Itapinimba EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Luís Gustavo Moura was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Percy Nóbrega breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dráuzio Cerezo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Urbano, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. 26 minutes into the game, Durvalino Passos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cacimbinha EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Itapinimba EC the free kick. In the 26th minute, Durvalino Passos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luís Gustavo Moura sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 37th minute, Luís Gustavo Moura got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 39th minute, Cacimbinha EC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Bruno Ferraz fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Luís Gustavo Moura's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Percy Nóbrega read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 41st minute of play. Bruno Ferraz who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 47thth minute tested the skills of Percy Nóbrega when he managed to save the team from getting behind. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ismael Carioca to strike the kick off in the second half. Percy Nóbrega took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luís Gustavo Moura, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Percy Nóbrega made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lenílson Dracena in the 54th minute of play. Bruno Ferraz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Percy Nóbrega having to interfere. Luís Gustavo Moura received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Percy Nóbrega tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Durvalino Passos hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. In the 64th minute, Durvalino Passos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bruno Ferraz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 66th minute Luís Gustavo Moura shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Percy Nóbrega saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Cacimbinha EC's Durvalino Passos got a free kick in the 71st minute. Bruno Ferraz spun around in front of the goal 72 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Cacimbinha EC's goal. The long shot by João Pedro Martins in the 74th minute really tested Dráuzio Cerezo's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Cacimbinha EC's Durvalino Passos got his second yellow card of the match in the 76th minute. The referee ordered Durvalino Passos off the ground. The supporters of Itapinimba EC booed when Cacimbinha EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Durvalino Passos didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 86th minute, Luís Gustavo Moura got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Bruno Ferraz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Luís Gustavo Moura fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Percy Nóbrega having to interfere. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Itapinimba EC fully deserved thier win.
