Cristian Arósio's late challenge caught a Itahu EC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cristian Arósio helped the player get up and apologised. 8 minutes into the match, Guarus FC's goal looked a bit too open when Alain Biard came free, but Pedro Luiz de Queirós reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Guarus FC's Pedro Luiz de Queirós played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alain Biard in the 9th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedro Pontes in the 14th minute of play forced Itahu EC's goalkeeper Falcão Mazza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Alain Biard managed to get in a good position for a shot. Itahu EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Alain Biard was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pedro Luiz de Queirós breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 21st minute Sebastião Machado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Falcão Mazza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pedro Jacinto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pedro Luiz de Queirós made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alain Biard in the 25th minute of play. In the 28th match minute, Guarus FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristian Arósio to maneuver through the defense. 30 minutes into the match, Itahu EC's goal looked a bit too open when Pedro Pontes came free, but Falcão Mazza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Alain Biard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 39 minutes into the game, Sebastião Machado cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Falcão Mazza was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

After a defensive mix-up in Guarus FC's zone, Alain Biard stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pedro Luiz de Queirós came out of the goal and Alain Biard tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Pedro Luiz de Queirós didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alain Biard went, in the 53rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Alain Biard sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Itahu EC made a substitution. Cícero Vergílio replaced Pedro Jacinto. José Paulo Novaes kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Alain Biard managed to get in a good position for a shot. Itahu EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Alain Biard was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. In the 78th minute Alain Biard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Luiz de Queirós saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 79 minutes of play, Guarus FC's Pedro Pontes made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Falcão Mazza was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 83 played minutes Itahu EC got a freekick which was hit by Victor Pires. In the 87th minute, Itahu EC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Pedro Pontes fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. If Cristian Arósio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Emerson Saraiva kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
