Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Murillo Loyola fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frank Vasconcelos having to interfere. In the 6th match minute, Serrano was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Samuel Carioca to maneuver through the defense. Frank Vasconcelos came out of the goal in the 8th minute to try and stop a shot by Serrano's João Francisco Cavalcante. But to his dismay, João Francisco Cavalcante quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. João Francisco Cavalcante struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Frank Vasconcelos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Serrano. When João Francisco Cavalcante came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Serrano fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that João Francisco Cavalcante couldn't finish the play. If Claudinei Moreira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 18 minutes into the match, Lencois's Claudinei Moreira sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Miguel da Fonseca narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A collision led to Lencois getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Erik Siqueira hit a great ball. Claudinei Moreira kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. In the 34th minute of the match Erik Novaes sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Frank Vasconcelos skillfully saved the ball. 36 minutes into the match, João Francisco Cavalcante had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Frank Vasconcelos. Lencois's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that João Francisco Cavalcante was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. After a rather tough play, Lencois's Erik Siqueira got a free kick in the 40th minute. Frank Vasconcelos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Murillo Loyola in the 43rd minute of play. Murillo Loyola recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

After 51 played minutes Murillo Loyola rounded Lencois's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-3. Lencois's Frank Vasconcelos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Murillo Loyola in the 55th minute of play. Geovani Torres received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Miguel da Fonseca tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 60th minute Dino Xavier shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Miguel da Fonseca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 63rdth minute of the game Murillo Loyola who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lencois's Frank Vasconcelos was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Miguel da Fonseca showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dino Xavier in the 64th minute of the match. In the 65th minute, Lúcio de Alcântara hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Lencois's Erik Siqueira got a free kick in the 70th minute. In the 72ndth minute of the game Murillo Loyola who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lencois's Frank Vasconcelos was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Miguel da Fonseca stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dino Xavier's shot from short distance in the 79th minute. If João Francisco Cavalcante had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Serrano booed when Lencois was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sebastião Tróia didn't get a good kick on the ball. João Francisco Cavalcante fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frank Vasconcelos having to interfere. Frank Vasconcelos made a fantastic save in the 91st minute, when Samuel Carioca sent off a good shot on target. When the final whistle sounded Serrano left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Lencois.
