Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Jarbas Penha kicked off to start the match. In the 10th minute, João Francisco Cavalcante got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Leonel Pires took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Murillo Loyola, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Lúcio de Alcântara fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Serrano's protests and gave Lúcio de Alcântara a yellow card for diving instead. In the 15th match minute, Serrano was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lúcio de Alcântara to maneuver through the defense. Hudson Proença recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 18 minutes into the match, Hudson Proença notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Serrano's Miguel da Fonseca. Miguel da Fonseca was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Miguel da Fonseca stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jarbas Penha's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. Diego Marinho charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Diego Marinho the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Diego Marinho kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. 29 minutes into the match, Jequie SS's Hudson Proença sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Miguel da Fonseca narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 33rd minute Jarbas Penha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Miguel da Fonseca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Serrano's Miguel da Fonseca played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hudson Proença in the 38th minute of play. After having played for 43 minutes, Jarbas Penha managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jequie SS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jarbas Penha was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Hudson Proença fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Miguel da Fonseca having to interfere. Miguel da Fonseca made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jarbas Penha in the 49th minute of play. After the first half Jequie SS were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Murillo Loyola to make the kick off. Serrano's Miguel da Fonseca proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save Serrano from getting a goal against them. With a little luck, Serrano's Miguel da Fonseca got control of the ball when Hudson Proença tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Jequie SS's Jarbas Penha in the 60th minute got a chance for a shot 60th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Serrano's goalie prevented a goal. If Hudson Proença had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 64th match minute, Serrano was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Samuel Carioca to maneuver through the defense. In the 65th minute, Jarbas Penha got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Hudson Proença struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Miguel da Fonseca didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Jequie SS. Jarbas Penha blasted a shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Miguel da Fonseca having to make a save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jarbas Penha in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Miguel da Fonseca saved Serrano from getting behind. The supporters of Serrano booed when Jequie SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcelo Linhares didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Murillo Loyola in the 82nd minute of play forced Jequie SS's goalkeeper Leonel Pires to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jarbas Penha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Miguel da Fonseca having to interfere. Jarbas Penha's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Miguel da Fonseca read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 94th minute of play. Miguel da Fonseca didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Hudson Proença went, in the 96th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score.
