Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Jarbas Penha started the match with the kick off. Frank Vasconcelos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hudson Proença, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. Jarbas Penha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frank Vasconcelos having to interfere. In the 12th minute, Hudson Proença got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 19th minute, Hudson Proença left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Jequie SS fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 24th minute, Jarbas Penha ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Frank Vasconcelos was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. In the 28th minute of the match Régis Cavalcante shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Frank Vasconcelos showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Hudson Proença took the ball and in the 29 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Frank Vasconcelos. Frank Vasconcelos dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. If Hudson Proença had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dino Xavier to strike the kick off in the second half. Jarbas Penha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frank Vasconcelos having to interfere. 55 minutes into the game, one of Jequie SS:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Lencois a penalty, 56 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Dinei de Amorim, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Jequie SS's Leonel Pires. 1-4. After a rather tough play, Jequie SS's Laércio Barros got a free kick in the 59th minute. Hudson Proença sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 67 minutes into the match, Jequie SS's goal looked a bit too open when Geovani Torres came free, but Leonel Pires reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Leonel Pires made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Geovani Torres in the 69th minute of play. Geovani Torres fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonel Pires having to interfere. If Jarbas Penha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hudson Proença fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frank Vasconcelos having to interfere. In the 81st minute, Jequie SS's Jarbas Penha ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Frank Vasconcelos. Frank Vasconcelos yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-5. After 83 played minutes Jequie SS got a freekick which was hit by Marcelo Linhares. 85 minutes into the match, Lencois's Geovani Torres sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Leonel Pires narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Frank Vasconcelos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jarbas Penha's shot from short distance in the 86th minute. In the 88th minute, Hudson Proença got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 92nd minute, Claudinei Moreira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Lencois's Frank Vasconcelos got control of the ball when Hudson Proença tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the match was over Jequie SS could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Lencois throughout the match.
