Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Murillo Loyola in the 8th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Christian Souza prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Murillo Loyola in the 10th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Christian Souza saved Cabreuva from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Cabreuva's Jardel Martins got a free kick in the 10th minute. When Zeca Barros fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cabreuva's protests and gave Zeca Barros a yellow card for diving instead. After 12 played minutes Cabreuva got a freekick which was hit by Zeca Barros. In the 12th minute, Erik Novaes sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Cabreuva's Christian Souza didn't even have to move. When Cabreuva's Osmar Hermes in the 14th minute got a chance for a shot 14th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Serrano's goalie prevented a goal. When João Francisco Cavalcante came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Serrano fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that João Francisco Cavalcante couldn't finish the play. Murillo Loyola sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Murillo Loyola fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christian Souza having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Osmar Hermes kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Miguel da Fonseca. That made the score 1-1 in the 28 minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, João Francisco Cavalcante managed to get in a good position for a shot. Serrano's supporters rose to their feet, but João Francisco Cavalcante was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Christian Souza breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 38th minute, Tony Travassos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. 71 minutes into the match, Cabreuva's goalkeeper Christian Souza had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by João Francisco Cavalcante. When Murillo Loyola came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Serrano fans jumped to their feet. Serrano's Miguel da Fonseca played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Osmar Hermes in the 75th minute of play. Zeca Barros kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. 80 minutes into the game, Jardel Martins was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cabreuva's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Serrano the free kick. Jardel Martins hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Serrano walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
