The Ingleses Esporte Clube fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dadá Botelho should have stopped the shot. Dadá Botelho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from José Vítor Camargo, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Dadá Botelho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Percy Bezerra in the 22nd minute of play. A collision led to Ingleses Esporte Clube getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Ratense FC's Carlos Alberto Jacinto proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save Ratense FC from getting a goal against them. Donatello Rezende could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Carlos Alberto Jacinto made a huge save. Dadá Botelho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from José Vítor Camargo in the 35th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Ingleses Esporte Clube's Dênis Melo got a free kick in the 39th minute. When the match had gone on for 60 minutes, José Vítor Camargo took a quick shot and it went in 0-3 without a chance for Dadá Botelho to make any attempt to save it. 64 minutes in the game Patrick Vinhas did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Luiz Breckenfeld. When Frank Figueiredo fell near the penalty area in the 70th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ratense FC's protests and gave Frank Figueiredo a yellow card for diving instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Franklin Siqueira got free with Dadá Botelho in the 93rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 94 minutes, Sandrinho Vergílio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ingleses Esporte Clube and the Ratense FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Sandrinho Vergílio kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. The Ingleses Esporte Clube fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ratense FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
