Eduardo Velloso started the match with the kick off. With 4 minutes on the clock, Valério Custódio commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Magno fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 4th minute. Penalty! Magno's Sílvio Luís Maia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hernan Hermon in the 9th minute of play. Zé Pedro dos Santos's late challenge caught a Amianto AD's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Zé Pedro dos Santos helped the player get up and apologised. Zé Pedro dos Santos hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. With 14 minutes on the clock, Artem Zhabinskiy commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. When the match had been going on for 16 minutes, Magno's Luiz Fernando Vargas got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of José Eger. The supporters of Amianto AD booed when Magno was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Davi da Mata didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sílvio Luís Maia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eduardo Velloso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Giovani Alvarenga managed to get in a good position for a shot. Magno's supporters rose to their feet, but Giovani Alvarenga was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. José Eger breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Eduardo Velloso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Paulo da Mata fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sílvio Luís Maia having to interfere. Eduardo Velloso struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Sílvio Luís Maia didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Amianto AD. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Giovani Alvarenga made the kick off in the second half. Elano Barral charged in rather forcefully in the 52nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Elano Barral the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Magno's Elano Barral got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Paulo da Mata received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Sílvio Luís Maia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 56th minute, Eduardo Velloso got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Amianto AD getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Christiano Antunes hit a great ball. In the 66th match minute, Amianto AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hernan Hermon to maneuver through the defense. Paulo da Mata received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Sílvio Luís Maia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Giovani Alvarenga in the 73rd minute of play forced Amianto AD's goalkeeper José Eger to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Paulo da Mata received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Sílvio Luís Maia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice moves Paulo da Mata could shoot a difficult shot in the 82nd minute, which Sílvio Luís Maia however easily saved by the left post. If Paulo da Mata had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sílvio Luís Maia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eduardo Velloso in the 88th minute of the match. With a little luck, Magno's Sílvio Luís Maia got control of the ball when Paulo da Mata tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Amianto AD players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
