Doni Massa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Doni Massa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Albertino Alagoano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 9 played minutes Lurdes got a freekick which was hit by Victor Vinhas. Doni Massa kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. Albertino Alagoano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Doni Massa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Doni Massa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 19 minutes into the game, Lurdes's Hugo Britto nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Egídio de Sena made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kléberson Neiva in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Egídio de Sena prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Norberto Esteves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Norberto Esteves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kléberson Neiva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Egídio de Sena tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Norberto Esteves in the 33rd minute of play forced Ijui AD's goalkeeper Egídio de Sena to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 41st match minute, Ijui AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ronaldo Correia to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Norberto Esteves managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lurdes's supporters rose to their feet, but Norberto Esteves was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Egídio de Sena breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 43 minutes into the match, Ijui AD's goal looked a bit too open when Kléberson Neiva came free, but Egídio de Sena reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Doni Massa stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Lurdes's zone, Sílvio Luís Pirani stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Albertino Alagoano came out of the goal and Sílvio Luís Pirani tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Norberto Esteves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Albertino Alagoano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Doni Massa in the 59th minute of the match. Norberto Esteves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Lurdes booed when Ijui AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Renan Baiano didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 66 minutes, Sílvio Luís Pirani managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ijui AD's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sílvio Luís Pirani was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Doni Massa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Albertino Alagoano having to make a save. Kléberson Neiva could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Egídio de Sena made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kléberson Neiva got free with Egídio de Sena in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Doni Massa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Norberto Esteves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Lurdes fans' excitement grew in the 91st match minute when Lurdes's Kléberson Neiva looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Lurdes's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
