Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) 4 minutes into the game, Doni Massa cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Simão Valadares was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Simão Valadares didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Doni Massa went, in the 7th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. After 13 minutes, Josué Custódio made it 1-2 with a short kick to the right side. Ijui AD's Egídio de Sena tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Ijui AD's Egídio de Sena proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save Ijui AD from getting a goal against them. Egídio de Sena made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when Jeferson de Godoi sent off a good shot on target. Simão Valadares came out of the goal in the 23rd minute to try and stop a shot by Ijui AD's Sílvio Luís Pirani. But to his dismay, Sílvio Luís Pirani quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Emerson de Toledo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Egídio de Sena tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Egídio de Sena made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jeferson de Godoi in the 29th minute. After 30 played minutes Ijui AD got a freekick which was hit by Ronaldo Correia. An unexpectedly hard shot by Doni Massa in the 32nd minute of play forced Fronteiro EC's goalkeeper Simão Valadares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 35 minutes, Emerson de Toledo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fronteiro EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Emerson de Toledo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fronteiro EC's Simão Valadares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paulão Pimenta in the 41st minute of play. Jeferson de Godoi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Egídio de Sena having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Doni Massa to strike the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Ijui AD booed when Fronteiro EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amílton Vergílio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Doni Massa in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Simão Valadares prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Doni Massa in the 57th minute of play forced Fronteiro EC's goalkeeper Simão Valadares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 60th minute, Emerson de Toledo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 67 minutes into the match, Fronteiro EC's goal looked a bit too open when Doni Massa came free, but Simão Valadares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 70th minute, Jeferson de Godoi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Egídio de Sena was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-4. In the 74th play minute Sílvio Luís Pirani came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Simão Valadares. 2-5. In the 77th minute, Ronaldo Correia reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Simão Valadares. The goal made the score 2-6. After 82 played minutes Ijui AD got a freekick which was hit by Paulão Pimenta. 85 minutes into the match, Fronteiro EC's goalkeeper Simão Valadares had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sílvio Luís Pirani. Amílton Vergílio kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. 88 minutes into the game, one of Fronteiro EC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Amílton Vergílio hit a great freekick 98 minutes into the match. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Ijui AD had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
