Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Luisão Neiva started the match with the kick off. In the 6th match minute, Espinosa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vitinho Tróia to maneuver through the defense. Yuri Maia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dionísio Martins, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. 10 minutes into the game, Itupeva's Edvaldo Pontes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Yuri Maia made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Marcinho Paulista received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Carlos Pernambucano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Carlos Pernambucano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tiago Hoffmann in the 17th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Serginho Carneiro in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Yuri Maia saved Espinosa from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Serginho Carneiro in the 22nd minute of play forced Espinosa's goalkeeper Yuri Maia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Yuri Maia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Serginho Carneiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Itupeva's zone, Tiago Hoffmann stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Carlos Pernambucano came out of the goal and Tiago Hoffmann tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 26th minute, Itupeva's Serginho Carneiro ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Yuri Maia. Yuri Maia yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. In the 29th minute Dionísio Martins shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yuri Maia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Serginho Carneiro in the 30th minute of play forced Espinosa's goalkeeper Yuri Maia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 32 minutes of play, Espinosa's Tiago Hoffmann made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Carlos Pernambucano was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Marcinho Paulista managed to get in a good position for a shot. Espinosa's supporters rose to their feet, but Marcinho Paulista was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Carlos Pernambucano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 46th minute, Itupeva's Edvaldo Pontes ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Yuri Maia. Yuri Maia yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-1. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.
A hard shot 52 in the game by Marcinho Paulista from a close distance when the talented Carlos Pernambucano managed to make a qualified save. Itupeva's players were relieved. Espinosa's Yuri Maia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edvaldo Pontes in the 54th minute of play. Carlos Pernambucano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcinho Paulista in the 55th minute of the match. Léo da Silva could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Carlos Pernambucano made a huge save. 59 minutes into the match, Espinosa's goal looked a bit too open when Serginho Carneiro came free, but Yuri Maia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Edvaldo Pontes came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Itupeva fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edvaldo Pontes couldn't finish the play. Tiago Hoffmann recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 71 minutes into the match, Itupeva's goal looked a bit too open when Léo da Silva came free, but Carlos Pernambucano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Espinosa booed when Itupeva was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Raphael Vianna didn't get a good kick on the ball. Yuri Maia didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Serginho Carneiro went, in the 82nd minute, to the upper right corner, 4-1 was the resulting score. Yuri Maia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Serginho Carneiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. Sidnei da Silva hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. Itupeva's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
