Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Dênis Velloso got the match started through his kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Víktor Aguiar during the 5th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Cananea's Víktor Aguiar got a free kick in the 5th minute. After 7 minutes, Bruno Cerezo made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Cananea's Breno Barreto tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Cananea's Gugu Motta got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 12 minutes into the match, Goytacaz Futebol Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Dênis Velloso came free, but Elano Paraíba reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 15th minute, Dênis Velloso got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 21 minutes into the game, Cananea's Gugu Motta nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Elano Paraíba made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gugu Motta got free with Elano Paraíba in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Dênis Velloso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Dênis Velloso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 42nd minute, Gugu Motta got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Dênis Velloso was extremely unlucky when he, in the 43rd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. When Ramón Tróia fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Goytacaz Futebol Clube's protests and gave Ramón Tróia a yellow card for diving instead. Ramón Tróia hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. In the 46th minute, Gugu Motta got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ismael Romero to strike the kick off in the second half. Elano Paraíba showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dênis Velloso in the 54th minute of the match. Luiz Guilherme Freire hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Bruno Cerezo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Breno Barreto read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 81st minute of play. Gugu Motta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elano Paraíba having to interfere. Bruno Cerezo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 94th minute, Gugu Motta got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gugu Motta blasted a shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Elano Paraíba having to make a save. Cananea's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
