After 5 played minutes Rey de Copas got a freekick which was hit by Dieguinho Salgado. Otávio de Godoi received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Valdomiro Rossi came out and tried to block the shot, but Otávio de Godoi slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 9th minute. Nelson Ferreira kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. Waldemar Pires sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nelson Ferreira in the 17th minute of play forced Rey de Copas's goalkeeper Valdomiro Rossi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. André Luís Carioca kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. 19 minutes into the match, Rey de Copas's goalkeeper Valdomiro Rossi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Otávio de Godoi. 21 minutes into the match, Rey de Copas's goal looked a bit too open when Nelson Ferreira came free, but Valdomiro Rossi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Otávio de Godoi in the 22ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Valdomiro Rossi, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Luís Gustavo Maciel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Waldemar Pires came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Unick FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Waldemar Pires couldn't finish the play. After 29 minutes of play Rey de Copas's André Luís Carioca was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Unick FC's Ezequiel Passos was substituted for Conrado Arruda. In the 31st minute, André Luís Carioca hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nelson Ferreira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 36th play minutes Waldemar Pires shot 2-0, a short shot which went by Valdomiro Rossi and just under the crossbar into goal. 39 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Unick FC's Otávio de Godoi fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. Valdomiro Rossi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Waldemar Pires in the 42nd minute of play. 44 minutes into the match, Rey de Copas's goal looked a bit too open when Otávio de Godoi came free, but Valdomiro Rossi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Unick FC booed when Rey de Copas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dudu da Costa didn't get a good kick on the ball.

The wind increased when Waldemar Pires made the kick off in the second half. Valdomiro Rossi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Otávio de Godoi, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. If Nelson Ferreira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Valdomiro Rossi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Waldemar Pires in the 62nd minute of play. 65 minutes into the game, Unick FC's Otávio de Godoi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Valdomiro Rossi made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. Waldemar Pires fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valdomiro Rossi having to interfere. Rey de Copas's Valdomiro Rossi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rafinha de Moraes in the 73rd minute of play. Ezequiel Passos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Valdomiro Rossi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Otávio de Godoi in the 77th minute of the match. 78 minutes into the match, Unick FC's Ezequiel Passos sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Valdomiro Rossi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Waldemar Pires in the 79th minute of play forced Rey de Copas's goalkeeper Valdomiro Rossi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Valdomiro Rossi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ezequiel Passos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Unick FC's zone, Luís Gustavo Maciel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Germano Travassos came out of the goal and Luís Gustavo Maciel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ezequiel Passos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Valdomiro Rossi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rey de Copas's Valdomiro Rossi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Otávio de Godoi in the 86th minute of play. Valdomiro Rossi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Waldemar Pires in the 88th minute of the match. If Waldemar Pires had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After having played for 95 minutes, Waldemar Pires managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Unick FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Waldemar Pires was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
