The goal made the score 1-0. Itaoca EC's Almir Sena played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Renan Coelho in the 11th minute of play. Moisés Abreu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Almir Sena having to interfere. After some careless play in the Itaoca EC defense, Moisés Abreu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Almir Sena. The Itaoca EC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Almir Sena should have stopped the shot. A collision led to Freixeiras getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Romário Soares hit a great ball. After 29 played minutes Freixeiras got a freekick which was hit by Renan Coelho. 31 minutes into the match, Paulinho Freitas had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Afonsinho Esteves. Freixeiras's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Paulinho Freitas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. In the 38th minute, Freixeiras's Renan Coelho ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Almir Sena. Almir Sena yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 4-1. In the 44thth minute of the game Renan Coelho who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Itaoca EC's Almir Sena was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Renan Coelho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Almir Sena showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Renan Coelho, who was totally free with the ball in the 49th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-1.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Paulinho Freitas to make the kick off. Afonsinho Esteves was out of position in the 53 minute of play, and Josué Fernandes capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Josué Fernandes really showed his touch with that goal: 4-2. If Moisés Abreu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The audience was convinced that Renan Coelho's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Almir Sena was relentless in the 67th minute of the game. In the 70th minute Paulinho Freitas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Afonsinho Esteves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Moisés Abreu came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Freixeiras fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Moisés Abreu couldn't finish the play. Renan Coelho blasted a shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Almir Sena having to make a save. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Almir Sena prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Romário Soares took the ball and in the 95 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Almir Sena. Almir Sena dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-3. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Freixeiras had won after a very even match.
