Paulinho Freitas started the match with the kick off. Itaoca EC's Josué Fernandes got a good chance for a goal in the 3rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 19th match minute, Itaoca EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gualter Rodrigues to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 25 minutes, Durvalino Duarte managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Marrao EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Durvalino Duarte was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Itaoca EC's Almir Sena played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Glauco Paiva in the 27th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gualter Rodrigues during the 28th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Gualter Rodrigues hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Reynaldo Marinho might have been able to make a better finish in the 32nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Almir Sena. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Reynaldo Marinho ran back to his position shaking his head. Paulinho Freitas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Gabriel Barros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 37 minutes, Reynaldo Marinho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Itaoca EC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Marrao EC for a fine match.
