Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Aníbal Pitta made the kick off which started today's match. 8 minutes into the match, Japecanaa FC's goal looked a bit too open when Claudinho Trigo came free, but Jefferson Fontes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Bruno Carvalho fell near the penalty area in the 9th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Marvao's protests and gave Bruno Carvalho a yellow card for diving instead. After 9 played minutes Marvao got a freekick which was hit by Bruno Carvalho. It was beautiful to see Japecanaa FC's Enrique Hermes in action when he in the 11th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! In the 12thth minute of the game Denílson Lira who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Marvao's Bruno Coutinho was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 13 minutes into the game, Claudinho Trigo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Jefferson Fontes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Luan Quadros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jefferson Fontes having to interfere. Aníbal Pitta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bruno Coutinho having to interfere. In the 28th minute, Marvao's Luan Quadros dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 4-0. Bruno Coutinho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benê Donato in the 37th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Marvao's Claudinho Trigo got a free kick in the 42nd minute. José de Sousa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
Gilvan Leite hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Celso Travassos didn't quite understand what happened when in the 55 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. In the 56th minute, Luan Quadros got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jefferson Fontes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from José de Sousa in the 58th minute of play. Marvao's Luan Quadros got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 63rd minute Luan Quadros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jefferson Fontes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zé Paes was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 64 minutes into the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 64th minute of the game. One of Marvao:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Japecanaa FC:s goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gilvan Leite during the 70th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Marvao booed when Japecanaa FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gilvan Leite didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luan Torres fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jefferson Fontes having to interfere. Jefferson Fontes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Luan Torres went, in the 76th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-1 was the resulting score. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Luan Quadros managed to get in a good position for a shot. Marvao's supporters rose to their feet, but Luan Quadros was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jefferson Fontes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 82nd minute Aníbal Pitta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bruno Coutinho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aníbal Pitta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Bruno Coutinho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 86th match minute, Marvao was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Celso Travassos to maneuver through the defense. If Aníbal Pitta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luan Quadros blasted a shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jefferson Fontes having to make a save. In the 96th match minute, Japecanaa FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benê Donato to maneuver through the defense. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Marvao fully deserved thier win.
