Baia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Marvao the free kick. After a rather tough play, Baia's Pedro Luís Mumbach got a free kick in the 13th minute. Fred Secco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luan Quadros in the 33rd minute of the match. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Pedro Luís Mumbach was the one to do the kick off. Bruno Coutinho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Humberto Meirelles, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Luan Quadros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fred Secco having to interfere. The supporters of Marvao booed when Baia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Humberto Meirelles didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Baia's Pedro Luís Mumbach got a free kick in the 77th minute. Luan Quadros in the 78thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. After 89 played minutes Marvao got a freekick which was hit by Duarte de Almeida. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Enéas Penha in the 93rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bruno Coutinho prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Luan Quadros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marvao were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
