Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Fernandinho Bittencourt kicked off to start the match. After a defensive mix-up in Pinheiros FC's zone, Ciro Rosado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hortêncio Zilles came out of the goal and Ciro Rosado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Corinthians's Edmundo Seco got a good chance for a goal in the 5th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ciro Rosado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hortêncio Zilles having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ciro Rosado in the 11th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hortêncio Zilles saved Pinheiros FC from getting behind. Felippe Gaúcho hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. If Mário Queirós had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 20th minute the ball was on its way in behind Pinheiros FC's goalkeeper Hortêncio Zilles, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edmundo Seco in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hortêncio Zilles prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Pinheiros FC's Sílvio Furtado got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Corinthians's Ciro Rosado got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ciro Rosado's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hortêncio Zilles read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 39th minute of play. When Edmundo Seco, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 45 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Hortêncio Zilles was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Fernandinho Bittencourt in the 55th minute of play forced Corinthians's goalkeeper Eurico Lopes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ciro Rosado might have been able to make a better finish in the 57th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hortêncio Zilles. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ciro Rosado ran back to his position shaking his head. Edmundo Seco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Fernandinho Bittencourt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Eurico Lopes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Edmundo Seco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Ciro Rosado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eurico Lopes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fernandinho Bittencourt, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. 79 minutes into the match, Pinheiros FC's goalkeeper Hortêncio Zilles had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ciro Rosado. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tiago Rosa during the 84th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 85 played minutes Corinthians got a freekick which was hit by Tiago Rosa. A collision led to Pinheiros FC getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Sílvio Furtado hit a great ball. After 92 minutes Pinheiros FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Tadeu Motta who took care of the corner kick. Tadeu Motta made a great header on Corinthians's corner, it was just that Pinheiros FC's Hortêncio Zilles managed to reach the ball for a save. Ciro Rosado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Corinthians's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
