If Tadeu Paranaense had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 22nd match minute, Itajuípe Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nilson de Mendonça to maneuver through the defense. Tadeu Paranaense's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Caetano de Castro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 26th minute of play. Wilian Hoffmann received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Caetano de Castro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Amauri Galvão's late challenge caught a Sobralia EC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Amauri Galvão helped the player get up and apologised. In the 28th match minute, Itajuípe Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amauri Galvão to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Itajuípe Futebol Clube getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Denílson Barbosa hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Tadeu Paranaense managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sobralia EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Tadeu Paranaense was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Caetano de Castro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Amauri Galvão hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. 42 minutes into the match, Itajuípe Futebol Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Wilian Hoffmann came free, but Caetano de Castro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Nilson de Mendonça fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Itajuípe Futebol Clube's protests and gave Nilson de Mendonça a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Itajuípe Futebol Clube getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Nilson de Mendonça hit a great ball. Itajuípe Futebol Clube's Caetano de Castro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tadeu Paranaense in the 45th minute of play. Tadeu Paranaense sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Eusébio da Cunha made a kick off. Erik Cardoso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rodolfo Vander, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 55 minutes into the match, Itajuípe Futebol Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Wilian Hoffmann came free, but Caetano de Castro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Caetano de Castro made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when Tadeu Paranaense sent off a good shot on target. Sobralia EC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Jacinto Rossi in the 63rd minute. Jacinto Rossi made a great header on Sobralia EC's corner, it was just that Itajuípe Futebol Clube's Caetano de Castro managed to reach the ball for a save. After a rather tough play, Itajuípe Futebol Clube's Amauri Galvão got a free kick in the 65th minute. When Wilian Hoffmann came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Sobralia EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wilian Hoffmann couldn't finish the play. 83 minutes into the match, Itajuípe Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Caetano de Castro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tadeu Paranaense. Tadeu Paranaense fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Caetano de Castro having to interfere. Tadeu Paranaense was extremely unlucky when he, in the 91st minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. If Wilian Hoffmann had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.
