Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Benedito Meirelles started the match with the kick off. Willian Proença kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Douglas Nóbrega in the 8th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vladimir Bueno saved Saycan from getting behind. After 8 played minutes Saycan got a freekick which was hit by Rubens Araújo. 10 minutes into the match, Douglas Nóbrega had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Vladimir Bueno. Saycan's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Douglas Nóbrega was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. After having played for 16 minutes, Ernesto Barbosa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Saycan's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ernesto Barbosa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Douglas Nóbrega had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 22nd match minute, Saycan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leonel Palmeira to maneuver through the defense. Jorge Teixeira made an important save on a dangerous shot by Amadeu Correia in the 24th minute. After a rather tough play, MidNigas's Willian Proença got a free kick in the 25th minute. In the 26th minute of the match Pedrão Ortiz sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jorge Teixeira skillfully saved the ball. The supporters of MidNigas booed when Saycan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Manuel Carneiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Filipe Coelho took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 28th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Vladimir Bueno. Saycan's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Jorge Teixeira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ernesto Barbosa in the 43rd minute of the match. MidNigas's Benedito Meirelles got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

When Benedito Meirelles came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the MidNigas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Benedito Meirelles couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Douglas Nóbrega managed to get in a good position for a shot. MidNigas's supporters rose to their feet, but Douglas Nóbrega was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vladimir Bueno breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Vladimir Bueno took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benedito Meirelles, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. MidNigas's Benedito Meirelles got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 63rd minute Benedito Meirelles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vladimir Bueno saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 68 played minutes MidNigas got a freekick which was hit by Filipe Coelho. Saycan's Vladimir Bueno played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benedito Meirelles in the 73rd minute of play. David de Amaral charged in rather forcefully in the 79th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed David de Amaral the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. David de Amaral hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. MidNigas's Jorge Teixeira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amadeu Correia in the 82nd minute of play. Vladimir Bueno showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benedito Meirelles in the 84th minute of the match. In the 86th match minute, Saycan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leonel Palmeira to maneuver through the defense. Douglas Nóbrega received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Vladimir Bueno tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Saycan's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Benedito Meirelles 96 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-2. MidNigas's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
