Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Benedito Meirelles took the kick off in the first half of the match. A hard shot 7 in the game by Douglas Nóbrega from a close distance when the talented Edmundo Ceresso managed to make a qualified save. São Bernardo's players were relieved. Edmundo Ceresso was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Douglas Nóbrega showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 16 minute of play. If Hamílton Dionísio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 22nd minute Benedito Meirelles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edmundo Ceresso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Douglas Nóbrega fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edmundo Ceresso having to interfere. A collision led to São Bernardo getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Oswaldo Soares hit a great ball. After 32 played minutes MidNigas got a freekick which was hit by Sílvio Luiz Travassos. 39 minutes into the match, Hamílton Dionísio had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jorge Teixeira. MidNigas's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hamílton Dionísio was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hamílton Dionísio to make the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tião Linares got free with Jorge Teixeira in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Hamílton Dionísio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hamílton Dionísio might have been able to make a better finish in the 55th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jorge Teixeira. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hamílton Dionísio ran back to his position shaking his head. Edmundo Ceresso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Douglas Nóbrega in the 60th minute of the match. Edmundo Ceresso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Douglas Nóbrega in the 61st minute of play. Jorge Teixeira made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tião Linares in the 64th minute. In the 69th minute of the match São Bernardo got a corner. MidNigas's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Zé Roberto Matorin ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on São Bernardo's corner Zé Roberto Matorin fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Jorge Teixeira quite easily take care of the ball. If Douglas Nóbrega had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. MidNigas's Benedito Meirelles got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Douglas Nóbrega came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the MidNigas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Douglas Nóbrega couldn't finish the play. If Hamílton Dionísio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jorge Teixeira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hamílton Dionísio in the 82nd minute of play. If Benedito Meirelles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to MidNigas getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. João Pedro Branco hit a great ball. MidNigas's Jorge Teixeira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hamílton Dionísio in the 86th minute of play. In the 92nd minute, David de Amaral got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 96 played minutes MidNigas got a freekick which was hit by Willian Proença. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
