Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Garibe FC's Mário Urbano started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Angelo Cardoso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpected shot in the 8th minute by Mário Urbano got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. If Angelo Cardoso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 11 minutes into the match, Mário Urbano notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Pelado's Tony Figueiredo. Tony Figueiredo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 15th match minute, Pelado was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sílvio Luiz Simão to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 18 minutes, Angelo Cardoso managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Garibe FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Angelo Cardoso was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 19th minute, João Francisco Rodrigues hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Manoel Correia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcinho Penha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Angelo Cardoso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tony Figueiredo having to interfere. After having played for 28 minutes, Marcinho Penha managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pelado's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marcinho Penha was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Marcinho Penha might have been able to make a better finish in the 49th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Manoel Correia. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Marcinho Penha ran back to his position shaking his head. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Marcinho Penha made the kick off in the second half. Angelo Cardoso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Tony Figueiredo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 64 minutes into the game, Pelado's Lino Queiroz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Manoel Correia made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. In the 67th minute, Mário Urbano left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Garibe FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Mário Urbano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tony Figueiredo having to interfere. In the 75th minute, Mário Urbano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vito Ferraz during the 77th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Garibe FC's Vito Ferraz got a free kick in the 77th minute. In the 81st minute, Angelo Cardoso ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tony Figueiredo was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. After some careless play in the Pelado defense, Mário Urbano kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tony Figueiredo. The Pelado fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tony Figueiredo should have stopped the shot.
