The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Jarbas Quaresma's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 8thth minute, Rafinha Maranhense skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bernardo Queiroz in the 10th minute of play forced Taquara AD's goalkeeper André Luiz Abraão to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arayoses's Rafinha Maranhense played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by 赵剑誉 in the 11th minute of play. In the 14th match minute, Arayoses was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valdomiro Mandrak to maneuver through the defense. Jarbas Quaresma's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 15thth minute, Rafinha Maranhense skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Taquara AD's Jarbas Quaresma was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 17th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Valdomiro Mandrak hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. A collision led to Arayoses getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Valdomiro Mandrak hit a great ball. If Jarbas Quaresma had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 31st minute Ricardinho Sabóia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but André Luiz Abraão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. André Luiz Abraão took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bernardo Queiroz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Taquara AD's André Luiz Abraão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ricardinho Sabóia in the 38th minute of play. André Luiz Abraão came out of the goal in the 39th minute to try and stop a shot by Arayoses's Ricardinho Sabóia. But to his dismay, Ricardinho Sabóia quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. André Luiz Abraão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernardo Queiroz in the 42nd minute of play. André Luiz Abraão showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bernardo Queiroz, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Ricardinho Sabóia made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, 赵剑誉 got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Pedrão Tasso's late challenge caught a Taquara AD's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pedrão Tasso helped the player get up and apologised. In the 54th minute, Pedrão Tasso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Arayoses getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Marcus Cardozo hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Taquara AD's zone, Ricardinho Sabóia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. André Luiz Abraão came out of the goal and Ricardinho Sabóia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Taquara AD's André Luiz Abraão proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 73rd minute of the match, managed to save Taquara AD from getting a goal against them. After 74 played minutes Taquara AD got a freekick which was hit by 赵剑誉. If Jarbas Quaresma had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Taquara AD's Jarbas Quaresma got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jarbas Quaresma received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Rafinha Maranhense tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Nuno Queirós had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Taquara AD were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Arayoses to leave the ground with a draw.
