Juvi EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mandiqueira AD the free kick. A collision led to Juvi EC getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Enéas Vianna hit a great ball. Richard Braga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Raphael Marques tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 16th minute, Mandiqueira AD's Cláudio Arósio ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Raphael Marques. Raphael Marques yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Rony Alves hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Víktor Vaz in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jefferson Furtado saved Mandiqueira AD from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Mandiqueira AD's zone, Víktor Vaz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jefferson Furtado came out of the goal and Víktor Vaz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Víktor Vaz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jefferson Furtado having to interfere. In the 40th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mandiqueira AD's goalkeeper Jefferson Furtado, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A collision led to Juvi EC getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Dudu Fernandes hit a great ball. Remo da Cunha shot from long distance in the 48th minute, but Raphael Marques was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The wind increased when Víktor Vaz made the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Juvi EC getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Luisão Arantes hit a great ball. Dudu Fernandes's late challenge caught a Mandiqueira AD's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dudu Fernandes helped the player get up and apologised. The referee gave Mandiqueira AD a penalty, 54 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Remo da Cunha, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Juvi EC's Raphael Marques. 2-0. Thomás Dracena could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but Jefferson Furtado made a huge save. Cláudio Arósio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Raphael Marques tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Juvi EC's Thomás Dracena got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Richard Braga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Raphael Marques tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 80 minutes, Víktor Vaz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Juvi EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Víktor Vaz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jefferson Furtado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Víktor Vaz, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. After 95 minutes of play, Juvi EC's Thomás Dracena made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jefferson Furtado was left in no man's land by his defense there! Mandiqueira AD were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest.
