Rafinha Vides received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Albertino Arantes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Cambaquara getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. André Mangueira hit a great ball. Fernão Coelho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 12th minute of the match, but Robinho do Valle made a huge save. After 13 played minutes Cambaquara got a freekick which was hit by Igor Romero. Robinho do Valle showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dorival Nogueira in the 16th minute of the match. Fernão Coelho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Robinho do Valle tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dorival Nogueira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Agnaldo Luz fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cambaquara's protests and gave Agnaldo Luz a yellow card for diving instead. Paulo Renato Rosado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Robinho do Valle tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Cambaquara's Agnaldo Luz in the 30th minute got a chance for a shot 30th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Tamboral's goalie prevented a goal. In the 35th minute Agnaldo Luz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Albertino Arantes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fernão Coelho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With an all-out effort, Tamboral's Robinho do Valle threw himself towards the right post 39 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Dorival Nogueira, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Fernão Coelho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Robinho do Valle made a huge save. Severino Batista could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 41st minute of the match, but Robinho do Valle made a huge save. Dorival Nogueira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Robinho do Valle having to interfere. In the 45th match minute, Cambaquara was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luciano de Sena to maneuver through the defense. After 47 played minutes Cambaquara got a freekick which was hit by Igor Romero.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dorival Nogueira stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Agnaldo Luz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cambaquara's Agnaldo Luz suffered a sprained foot after 64 minutes and couldn't finish the game. 64 minutes into the game, Alfredinho Pombal was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tamboral's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cambaquara the free kick. After 63 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Tamboral! Robinho do Valle took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dorival Nogueira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Cambaquara's zone, Fernão Coelho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Robinho do Valle came out of the goal and Fernão Coelho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Robinho do Valle showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paulo Renato Rosado, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. After 86 minutes, Paulo Renato Rosado mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tamboral and the Cambaquara players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Tamboral getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Paulo Renato Rosado hit a great ball. Vivaldo Cardoso charged in rather forcefully in the 88th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vivaldo Cardoso the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 88th match minute, Cambaquara was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vivaldo Cardoso to maneuver through the defense. Luciano de Sena got his second yellow card in the match during the 91st minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. The Tamboral fans' excitement grew in the 94th match minute when Tamboral's Fernão Coelho looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. During the 99th minute of the match Vivaldo Cardoso completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Vivaldo Cardoso a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Vivaldo Cardoso hit a great freekick 99 minutes into the match.
