Zé Paulo Simão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zé Paulo Simão showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Francisco Montenegro in the 21st minute of the match. 22 minutes into the match, Francisco Montenegro dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Zé Paulo Simão, 1-0. Zé Paulo Simão made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Nuno Sanches sent off a good shot on target. Bolaxa FC's Leandro Sanches played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Diguinho Passos in the 29th minute of play. Balanca's Hernani Valle suffered a sore thigh after 31 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Jonathan Linhares's late challenge caught a Balanca's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Leandro Sanches showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Francisco Montenegro to strike the kick off in the second half. The long shot by Eduardo Santana in the 52nd minute really tested Leandro Sanches's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. In the 55th minute Nuno Sanches shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zé Paulo Simão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Elder Toscano fell near the penalty area in the 59th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bolaxa FC's protests and gave Elder Toscano a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Balanca booed when Bolaxa FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elder Toscano didn't get a good kick on the ball. It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 63rd minute, but Leandro Sanches got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving Bolaxa FC hanging dry this time. Diguinho Passos who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 65thth minute tested the skills of Leandro Sanches when he managed to save the team from getting behind. With a little luck, Bolaxa FC's Leandro Sanches got control of the ball when Diguinho Passos tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the referee ended the match the Bolaxa FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
