The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Perivaldo Lopes in the 6th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Oséias de Medeiros saved Nasal FC from getting behind. Ademar Meireles made a fantastic save in the 9th minute, when Delfim Oliveira sent off a good shot on target. Nasal FC's Oséias de Medeiros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thomás Nunes in the 14th minute of play. In the 16th minute Perivaldo Lopes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oséias de Medeiros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Perivaldo Lopes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 28th match minute, Nasal FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arlindo Capixaba to maneuver through the defense. Thomás Nunes succeeded in the game's 33rd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-1. In the 36th minute, one of Nasal FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Nasal FC. Perivaldo Lopes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 48th minute, Delfim Oliveira ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ademar Meireles was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1.

Arlindo Chaves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Perivaldo Lopes came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Parai fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Perivaldo Lopes couldn't finish the play. Thomás Nunes in the 74thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Oséias de Medeiros, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 76 minutes into the game, Fausto Rodrigues was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Nasal FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Parai the free kick. A collision led to Nasal FC getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Fausto Rodrigues hit a great ball. Ademar Meireles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arlindo Chaves in the 78th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Delfim Oliveira in the 81st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ademar Meireles saved Parai from getting behind. In the 86th minute the ball was on its way in behind Nasal FC's goalkeeper Oséias de Medeiros, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ernesto Dias charged in rather forcefully in the 87th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ernesto Dias the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Nasal FC's Ernesto Dias got a free kick in the 87th minute. Thomás Nunes struck a weak shot in the 97th minute. Oséias de Medeiros didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Parai. Thomás Nunes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 98th minute. Oséias de Medeiros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
